Terms and conditions

Credit Card payments are collected by Trekksoft AG acting as an authorised agent of Didrick Ose. Subsequently, Trekksoft AG will appear as DID ADVENTURE on your credit card statement.

The domain where you enter and process your payment is owned and operated by TrekkSoft AG.

Molde Adventure Center Terms and Conditions

Before you embark on an exciting adventure with us, we would appreciate that you get familiar with our terms and conditions as this is something you must agree to before going on a trip with us! Our trips range from family-friendly to tough expeditions and therefore different conditions may apply and it is important that you read through this.

 

Booking, Enquiry and Payment

You can book a trip directly through our webpage by going to a product web page and press the “book now” button. This will take you to a calendar where you choose preferred date, enter your contact details and finally pay a down payment. MAC uses Trekksoft as our booking system supplier and therefore supports safe credit card transactions.

 

We also provide with some custom-tailored trips and these cannot be booked directly from the webpage but through an enquiry.

 

Be aware that a trip is only reserved when a down payment is paid. Sending us an enquiry will not secure a seat on your preferred trip or date.

 

MAC charges 20 % of the total fee as a down payment. The remaining amount shall be paid no less than 60 days prior to departure. If the remaining amount is not paid within 60 days MAC serves the right to cancel your seat.

 

After you have booked and paid a down payment you will receive a booking confirmation with booking details and receipt. Detailed itinerary, equipment list and travel details will be dispatched by email well before departure.

 

We have different conditions for our expeditions. When booking an expedition, the down payment must be paid no later than 6 months prior to departure and the remaining sum must be paid no less than 4 months prior to departure due to the complexity of logistics.

Cancellation and Refund

MAC reserves the right to cancel a trip due to weather conditions, if a guide has become ill and we have no one qualified to replace the guide or if there are too few participants. Information on the minimum number of participants can be found on each product’s webpage. If MAC cancels due to any of the abovementioned reasons, the customers will receive a full refund of the paid amount, except from any costs not directly related to the product such as transportation and accommodation not included in the product (please see the travel insurance section).

 

Customer’s Cancellation

If something occurs that prevents you from travelling on a booked trip, we would like to help you in changing to another date or adventure if possible without any extra charge. There may be an additional fee if the alternative trip is more expensive or a refund if the selected trip is cheaper. If it is impossible to find a new date and a trip is cancelled by the customer, we will charge the customer after the following terms:

 

Upon cancelling 3 months or earlier before departure the deposit will be repaid in full.
Cancelling from 90 days to 60 days prior to departure, MAC serves the right to keep the down payment.
Upon cancelling within 60 days to 30 days before departure MAC serves the right to charge you for 50 % of the product price.                                                                           
 Upon cancelling 30 days or later before departure MAC will charge you for 100 % of the product price.

 

This sum is to cover the costs of all the logistics and preparations we already have done in advance of a trip, in which many will be a direct and non-refundable cost for us. Despite these terms and conditions, we aim to reach agreeable terms wherever possible and would rather have you on one of our trips and share exciting adventures with us!

 

If a customer decides to cancel a trip MAC must receive that information as soon as possible and be delivered in written form, preferably through emails. Cancellation date is the date MAC has received the cancellation.

 

Force Majeure

In case of emergencies, natural disaster, political disturbances and the like beyond our control, which gives us no other option than to cancel a trip, MAC is not obligated to refund any deposit or total trip costs which may have incurred on the customer, as this in most cases is to be covered by private travel insurances. However, customer satisfaction is important for us, and if Force Majeure is to occur, we will ensure the best service and security as we possibly can, and in many cases re-booking a trip to another date may be the best option.

 

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you have a travel insurance that covers not only the travel but also cancellation, sickness, lost/stolen luggage and personal items and in case of emergencies/ Force Majeure.

 

Customer information

When you book a trip through our web page, you will be required to give out some personal data. This may vary depending on what trip you are booking, but we always ask for your name, phone number and email address before you can pay through our booking system.

 

We gather data that is relevant for us to ensure you get the best service and security on our trips. This includes age, gender, and health condition where relevant, your email address and phone number for additional contact, your country of origin and current residence. Additional info such as shoe size, height, weight, allergies, physical and health condition etc. may also be required for some of our more technically and physically advanced trips.

 

MAC will never give out any personal data to any third party and is solely for our own use.

 

Films and Photographs

MAC reserves the rights to advertise our tours on the internet and the social media. This will often include photographs and film with participants and whose first names may be mentioned. If any participant do not wish to be shown on film or photo, please inform us before departure.

 

Newsletters and future contact

It is optional to subscribe to our newsletters, but we will send commercial information about MAC’s activities after you have been to a trip with us, in hope that we can share a new adventure in the future.

 

Customer feedback

Your feedback is very important to us so we can learn and improve continuously. If you have either positive or negative feedback after a trip with MAC, we appreciate that you share it with us.

In many cases, we can adjust and adapt our trips to suit your needs, so does many of our tour suppliers. MAC’s network is strong, international and we know the best nature-based adventure firms in Norway. If we cannot provide it, we can still help you get the adventure of your life.
